An event for startups, new entrepreneurs, investors, corporate representatives and small and medium-sized businesses looking for new opportunities in the ecosystem of innovative entrepreneurship. It will take place in Elefsina on 23 and 24 November 2018. The StartupNow Forum is the point where theory meets the act: parallel events including talks, exhibitions and 1: 1 meeting are some of the actions that will evolve within an unprecedented weekend.

Organization

The event is organized by Mantis Business Innovation, a spin-off startup of the National Technical University of Athens, developed in the Eurobank EGG incubator and was awarded as the best startup in the internal evaluation system of the 5th cycle.

Why in Elefsina?

The city of Elefsina – the European Capital of Culture for 2021. A city that combines the industrial activity of the country, the cultural emergence of Europe and the creativity of the place. The existence of the largest Greek industries, the logistics companies and the operation of the Port make Eleusina a pole to enable the startups to close business partnerships and trade agreements with the productive fabric of the country.

The StartupNow Forum is being carried out in cooperation with a variety of actors in the business setting of Greece: private companies, public bodies and educational institutions and entrepreneurship organizations are helping the project to be held in Elefsina this November with one of the strategic partners of the European Capital of Culture in 2021.

The StartupNow Forum is under the auspices of the Municipalities of Elefsina, the National Technical University of Athens and the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce. The action is already supported by giants of the country’s business scene, such as Hellenic Petroleum Group and Eurobank, and all major companies that will participate will be announced in the next period.

The organization and support of the event are being attended by offering strategic assistance to representatives of the Greek ecosystem of new entrepreneurship such as Revolut (Fintech), Reload Greece (accelerator in London), Egg enter-grow-go incubator, GreenTech Challenge NTUA, Owiwi (HR), City Crop (Agrotech), and dozens of other startups will participate in the conference as speakers, panel judges and panel coordinators. The supporting ecosystem that has been created is expected to involve all Greek venture capitals.

What does the StartupNow Forum offer?

For the first time in Greece, a competition for entrepreneurship will be combined with a forum that will develop the modern tools of new entrepreneurship, analyze the new technological trends, create the right conditions for networking and award the best Greek startups. The Forum will evolve with many parallel sessions and parallel actions such as 1: 1 meeting with investors, corporate executives and other representatives of new entrepreneurship that will trigger new partnerships and sharing ideas between new and ambitious ventures and established entrepreneurs.
