BreakAphasia, Future Reality Systems and Circle.Money won the Belgrade Connect competition, startit.rs repoted. The event took place on 20th of February and was organized by KPMG and Rotary Club Belgrade.
These three Serbian startups will represent their products during the Startup Connect competition in Berlin on 7th of March this year.
Beside the fully paid participation and the possibility to connect with their peers in Berlin, they are also entitled to a KPMG mentor with whom they will develop their product further on.
BreakAphasia is a therapy app for aphasia patients. The app is helping people with aphasia who are left with inability to comprehend and formulate language. At the moment, the team lead by Uroš Mitić has developed only the first app from the whole project – comprehension – but as stated on their web site in the next phase the speaking, reading and writing app are to be expected.
„In the next period we expect to meet as many speech therapists and medical personnel as well as to work with many institution who will be open to test the beta version of this platform. Additionally, we will continue to adjust the platform to the patients with different speaking difficulties that are not necessarily deriving from aphasia“, said Mitić, startit.rs reported.
Future Reality Systems is Serbian startup that provides services for different industries such as architecture, construction, tourism and education. Their services include the following solutions: augmented reality, virtual reality, mobile applications and high quality architectural presentations.
„At the moment we are developing the concept of our system with ultimate aim to ease and accelerate the process of architectural presentation by applying methods of augmented reality and by implementing virtual „architectural“ intelligence“, the CEO Petar Pejic said, startit.rs reported.
Last but not least, Circle.Money is a free online service that helps to increase liquidity, and gives an easy and quick way to close the accounts payable and receivable. According to their co-founder and CTO, Dragan Milovanovic, as startit.rs reported, the company is now in the customer acquisition process that is expected to finish in the next two months.
„We are a FinTech startup and at the moment we are considering blockchain, a technology that will perfectly fit our platform. Further on, we are considering other services such as invoice lending and financial netting. We expect to develop our services in that direction“, Milovanovic said.
As for the Belgrade Connect, this competition aims to support Serbian early seeds startups as well as helping them to connect with potential investors and their peers in the industry.
