Early Game Ventures, a Romanian venture capital investment fund invest €750K in a local cloud based platform, Bunnyshell, Romanian news portal start-up.ro reported. Led by Early Game Ventures the investment round was also supported by a Romanian business angel whose identity so far is undisclosed.
As reported, the fact that Bunnyshell is working on making the cloud platform more accessible and easy to use, is what made Early Game Ventures to support this startup. Moreover, the investment is in line with one of the fund’s thesis “infrastructure for innovation”.
“Bunnyshell wants to change the world by making the cloud accessible. Installing and launching servers, monitoring and scaling them, as well as security in the cloud, you can all solve them in minutes. The automation developed by Bunnyshell democratize access to cloud infrastructure – these are some of the arguments that made us invest in the Bunnyshell team, ”says Dan Călugareanu, Partner of Early Game Ventures, startup.ro reported.
Founded in March 2018, Bunnyshell is a SaaS (software as a service) platform for easy infrastructure management on multiple clouds or even on-premise, automated provisioning, one-click deployment for any app, automated real-time monitoring & ops management. Or put it more simply, Bunnyshell simplify the usage of a cloud platform, from the very beginning – the coding; to the last operation – production.
“Today, there is no application or software system that does not work in the cloud. Application development is becoming faster, using components, tools, APIs, SDKs and other resources that are easy to integrate and easy to use including non-specialized engineers. And yet, when it comes to installing applications on cloud infrastructure, things get complicated. It requires a system administrator to choose the best solution or architecture and make the settings and installations. This is where Bunnyshell comes in so that, with just two to three clicks, anyone can install and launch cloud applications, ”says Alin Dobra, CEO of Bunnyshell.
Reportedly, Bunnyshell already works on major infrastructure platforms such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and has partnerships with other companies in the field such as Digital Ocean or Cloudflare. The company also provides services to corporate clients in Romania and abroad.

As announced by the fund itself, the fund invests in startups that jumpstart new industries in the emerging markets of Europe.
Their philosophy is simple: “we invest at the earliest stages in companies whose founders have vested interests, are coachable and address big markets. If the opportunity is real, we prefer to be the first institutional investor in such startups”.
Early Game Ventures is also running a concierge accelerator, taking in only 5 or 6 startups per year for a very intensive and tailor-made program.
