“Three years ago we started with 20 investors and since then we have expanded the network to 1,000 investors across national borders. This enabled us to successfully equip 18 startups with capital and raise more than seven million euros for them” says Markus Kainz, founder and CEO at primeCROWD.

Founded in 2015 primeCROWD is Austria’s largest startup investor network that functions as a mediator between all relevant stakeholders from startups, investors, corporations, incubators to accelerators. According to company data, their investor network reaches over 800 investors, €7 million deal volume and an 80% financing quota.

At the moment the network focus is on FinTech, CleanTech, HealthTech, IT & Software, Big Data & Social Impact. However, as disclosed by the company, they will expand their portfolio of startups – apart from early and seed stages they plan to cover all investment phases from growth to exits. In order to reach that goal, new partnerships are being initiated on an ongoing basis.

Apart from their expansion, according to Trending Topics, PrimeCROWD also wants to bring startups to the Vienna Stock Exchange, which will open the third market for small companies in early 2019. “It is also exciting with the Vienna Stock Exchange. We want to prepare startups that are already ahead to go public, “says Kainz.
