Viva Wallet, an integrated payment solution for businesses and individuals, invests 200.000 euros in the Greek startup Elorus. With this investment, the Viva Group, a leading Greek IT company, which main platform is Viva Wallet, acquired 20% of Elorus- a free invoicing and billing software for small businesses and freelancers.
But as the Viva Group CEO, Haris Karonis, announced, the investment in Elorus is only a beginning. As he added, the Group is already very close to two other new investments in startups in Greece and abroad.
Actually, as most Greek media announced, this investment is part of the Viva Nest accelerator (part of Viva Group) initiative for digital innovation and new entrepreneurship program. The initiative is called IDEA in Fintech and its aim is to find, identify and develop innovative electronic services and new business models that will provide useful electronic payment transaction handling services, and services with added value that will improve the customer experience and contribute to digital synergies in business financial ecosystem.
Therefore, Viva Wallet and Elorus as part of the Viva group ecosystem, are inviting all startups active in the FinTech sector, all together with the startups that develop products that can have significant synergies with the group’s services, to join the initiative and this program.
The top three teams, as announced by the Group, will receive the cash prizes of 5.000 euros, 3.000 euros and 2.000 euros accordingly. Additionally, the teams that will qualify to the final phase will have an opportunity to be directly funded by Viva Group and their business partners who will provide support to the startups in their early stages.
Along with Viva Group, this program is also organized with the scientific support of the Economic University of Athens and, according to Viva Nest, supported by Microsoft, too.
