This is a two-day training totaling 12 hours of hands-on classroom tutor-led training for beginners in Raspberry Pi.

Participants will learn the following:

• basic setup of the Raspberry Pi (RPi)
• basic Linux commands to control the RPi (Raspbian Distro)
• RPi networking basics
• Introduction to Python 3
• General Purpose I/O (GPIO) pins of the RPi
• Practical Labs with sensors (motion, light, switches, distance and other basic analog inputs, encoders, actuators such as servos and motors, output to LED matrices and more

The training will be led by seasoned STEM educator Mr. Costas Chremos and is geared towards beginner to medium level skill participants.

The course will include access to equipment, sensors and other components for successful completion of the workshop elements but participants who already own their own RPi are encouraged to bring their own devices too.
