Greek startups Tesibit and Lalemou won “The Squeeze” competition

The Greek startups Tesibit and Lalemou are this quarter “The Squeeze” winners, startupper.gr reported. Tesibit won the first place winning 15.000 euros and Lalemou was second gaining 10.000 euros.

The Squeeze is a competition powered by the Greek co-working space and network community Orange Grove. Supported by the Stavros Niachos Foundation, every quarter two startups are granted 25.000 euros in total.

The eligible startups are pre-seed companies looking for an opportunity to pitch their ideas, to get exposure to a broader audience and to get valuable feedback from international judges.

Accordingly, as the team from Orange Grove notes, this competition helps them with a better access to capital and opportunity to grow their business to the next level.

At this 9th edition 40 startups were presenting their business ideas, and Tesibit and Lalemou were selected out of the eight startups that made the finale.

Founded in 2016, the first awarded startup Tesibit is a SaaS platform for the renewable energy industry, that uses machine learning and true Advanced Process Control technology to continuously monitor operations, assess productivity in real time, and significantly boost the performance of the system. Tesibit is free of hardware, readily accessible on the cloud, and extensively customizable. The Tesibit’s API can deliver increase in productivity and boasts superior accuracy and intelligent operational autonomy.

The second awarded company Lalemou, is a dating application for Android users allowing to chat anonymously and securely with men and women from all over Cyprus. To date, reportedly, this application is downloaded by 70.000 users.

The other six companies that made the finals are Enaleia, Urban Owl, Gaming Brotherhood, Foodakai, EasyExsports and Cyclefi.

The Enaleia is the first school for professional fishing in Greece. It is an award winning youth initiative, which aims to educate young unemployed people.

The Urban Owl is a startup that designs and produces handcrafted sunglasses . According to the company it takes 2 months, 24 artisans and 38 production steps to make just one pair of these urban sunglasses.

The Gaming Brotherhood is a platform which enables companies and organizations to optimize their marketing campaigns with user generated content. The platform ensures that marketers will save time, avoid spam, and get only the best and relevant user-generated content for their campaigns.

Foodakai, it’s the first Agroknow’s online application that brings together information from multiple sources on food safety issues with the participation of producers companies.

EasyExports is the B2B platform for food and beverages, serving as a matchmaking platform that facilitates the discovery of new products along with the establishment of reliable partnerships, with ultimate goal to improve the communication between exporting & importing companies.

Last but not least, Cyclefi offers an innovative waste-tracking technology that improves recycling performance practices by building a unified city dashboard and monitoring citizens’ overall recycling performance patterns.
