Croatian startup Vollo.net, fast and easy bus search, comparison and booking engine, team up with the world leading online transportation network company, Uber. The cooperation is led under the creed „where one journey ends, another begins“, promoting an intermodal transportation with ultimate goal to simplify the travelling among the users.

The cooperation between Vollo and Uber, is a logical step, due to the shared mindset and mission that these two companies have, the founder of Vollo.net, Marko Jukic says:

Marko Jukic, Founder & CEO @ Vollo.net

„What Uber does for the city transport, we are doing in the transport between cities. Besides, with the superior user experience, transparency in choosing the driver and the easy payment system that both companies deliver, we rise the quality and change the daily travel habits among the citizens“.

According to Croatian media, due to the new announced cooperation, with every ticket purchased at Vollo.net, the user will be entitled to free Uber drive to the bus platform.

Currently, the cooperation between these two companies is available only in Croatia, in the Croatian cites where Uber already is present – Zagreb, Spit, Zadar and Dubrovnik. But, given the fact that Uber is a global company, as Jukic pointed out, there is a very likely possibility for similar cooperation outside Croatia, too.

Actually, Vollo.net already cooperate with many carriers outside Croatia, too, providing information regarding bus connection throughout the continent. According to company data, in less than 6 months, this startup managed to connect over 20 countries, and brought together more than 150 transport carriers from Croatia and all over Europe. At the moment Vollo provides information on 70.000 connections and more than 2 million combinations of routes.

One other thing worth noting too is that recently, at the EBAN Winter University Conference, the biggest Business Angels and Startups European Conference that took place in Zagreb, Vollo won the City of Zagreb award, winning 5.000 euros and a trip to the Israel startup center in Tel Aviv.
