The Fincluders fintech Start-up Challenge, a competition is taking place in Berlin from 28th to 29th of October.
Оrganized by The Development facility of the European fund for Southeast Europe, Fintech start-up challenge has all accommodation and travel expenses covered for the 15 selected startups.
The first day of the event is an opportunity to visit other startups, accelerators, and incubators in Berlin, and one hour tour around the city. The second day of the challenge is reserved for the keynote speech but also for 3-minute pitches in front of a panel of judges.
The goal for this challenge is to find innovative new talents who will shape the financial future by bringing better, fairer and more inclusive financial services to small businesses and retail customers.
Participants in Fincluders will compete in several different areas such as financial access and literacy, financial identity and credit scoring, payments and remittances, alternative bank delivery channels, microfinance for small businesses, mobile services for the unbanked, consumer protection and financial solutions for agriculture and farmers.
“We are on the lookout for promising start-ups that, through the use of technology, can significantly boost financial inclusion in low- and middle-income countries and deliver strong developmental impact.”, the organizer said in their announcement of the upcoming startup event.
The 3 finalists will be selected by a high-profile jury of impact investors and will also receive cash prizes up to 15.000 Euros at one of the most exciting events in Europe.
