Romanian Qualitance Acquires SF-based LaunchPodium

Qualitance, a Romanian company specialized in cutting-edge IT technology, has taken over the San Francisco-based startup company LaunchPodium. After reaching a growth rate of incredible 283% from 2012 to 2014 and entering some of the most prestigious ratings including Deloitte Fast 50 and Inc. 5000 Europe, Qualitance made the next step in their international expansion agenda by acquiring LaunchPodium and turning it into their own innovation center called Qualitance Innovation Labs.

LaunchPodium provides online marketing consulting and it is the fourth startup founded by the Australian serial entrepreneur Mike Parsons. His rich portfolio covering the 10-year work experience in marketing agencies includes a number of campaigns for eminent clients such as Nike, Levi’s, Microsoft, Xbox, HP, General Motors, Volkswagen and Nestle, as well as prestigious industry awards among which the Cannes Lion, Effie, TED, David Ogilvy Awards and D & AD Pencils. Effective from June 1, Mike Parsons is the CIO of Qualitance, taking in charge the company’s line of innovation and related activities in the US office.

Qualitance already operates both in Europe and the US. The company has a delivery center located in Bucharest, whereas sales offices are based in the Silicon Valley and New York. Qualitance main activities are focused around enabling web and mobile apps for dynamic startups that are part of the Fortune 500. Technologies they develop are related to machine learning, IoT, VR, and AR. Last year, Qualitance had a turnover of € 4.2 million and the plans for 2016 aim at a 65% increase, as reported by Romania Insider.
