Latvian SaaS translation start-up Lokalise closes €5 million Series A round

Latvian SaaS translation start-up Lokalise has raised nearly five million euros in a Series A round led by Mike Chalfen, one of the biggest names in European venture capital. Austria-based fund capital300 also contributed to the funding series, as well as a number of angel investors.

Estonian startup Mercuryo.io raises €2.5 million to become the Stripe for cryptocurrency payments

Estonian startup Mercuryo.io has raised €2.5 million in seed funding with hopes of becoming the Stripe for cryptocurrency payments. The investment was led by Berlin-based Target Global and will fuel an ambition plan to scale across Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Insurtech Cachet collects over €1 million to cut insurance rates for gig workers and expand in Europe

Estonian insurtech startup Cachet, which has thus far offered financial services to gig workers on ride-hailing platforms, secured €1.1 million in seed funding to expand to other sectors of the sharing economy and into new markets. Led by Icebreaker.vc, the round included previous investors like Techstars, Barclays and Lemonade Stand, plus some angel investors.

Viennese data analytics startup Jentis secures €400,000

According to the startup founders Thomas Tauchner and Klaus Müller, web analysis tools provide imprecise data. With their company Jentis, they want to provide Google Analytics, Hotjar or Matomo with better data and have now secured high funding from the FFG research funding agency for the development of this solution. The 400,000 euros are to flow directly into new employees in research and development, as the startup announced.
