Romanian social media recruitment automation startup SmartDreamers, has raised €1.2 million in a new investment round closed this October, European media announced. Reportedly the new fund will be used for SmartDreamers to expand globally.
“Four years ago we were looking fearfully at the global market from a small town in Romania; now, we are bravely addressing it. Top brands are running recruitment marketing campaigns in regions such as the United States, Singapore, Australia, and the UK”, said Adrian Daniel Cernat, the CEO and co-founder of SmartDreamers, local media reported.
Besides in Europe, SmartDreamers has made their first steps in the United States, Singapore and Australia, hiring people who will ensure business development and expand SmartDreamers’ customer portfolio. But the startup doesn’t plan to stop here. According to the media reports, the plan is to expand their operations in Europe as well, with the primary focus in Paris, Munich, or London.
The Romanian Venture Capital Fund – GapMinder – led the investment round, in partnership with Catalyst Romania, the first private equity and venture capital fund in Romania.
