“Microfinance institutions around the world are using our platform to reach millions, many of whom live on less than two dollars per day. We are proud because the award recognizes the progress we’re making. We are enabling countless fintechs to gain traction with mass markets of microfinance clients. Through API integration, institutions can add other fintech solutions, like mobile money apps, to our platform and offer these new services to their clients” Oehrlein said.

Founded in 2012, this Croatian company won the jury vote out of 55 European software companies. Just few weeks before the event, Oradian was announced among the top three finalist. Among the jury members were top noch fintech experts from all around Europe: investors, academic and bank representatives.

At the moment this startup has operation in five countries and 45 partnering microfinance institutions, and as of June 2017, according to the company’s data Oradian is serving one million end-clients globally.

With 50 employees worldwide, Oradian is connecting underserved individuals to financial services by empowering microfinance institutions with leading technology and global best practice on a SaaS subscription basis.

Oradian’s mission is to empower the delivery of financial services to the underserved and unbanked and their vision is to create the most intuitive and practical technology solutions for the financial inclusion sector. Or as their Managing Director Antonio Serapovic recently said in an interview for the Croatian Telegraf,  the company’s ultimate goal is to become “Google for the underprivileged population in the world”.

Oradian’s flagship product is Instafin, a core-banking platform built for practitioners by practitioners. Specifically designed for financial institutions servicing the base of the economic pyramid, Instafin is the operational platform on which these institutions: microfinance institutions, cooperatives and credit unions, manage their day-to-day operations.

As for The European FinTech Awards, it is the place where innovative and disruptive FinTech companies are presented and awarded. This year’s edition theme was “The Coming of Age of FinTech”. The Conference is bringing the leading innovation managers of major banks, eager investors and the most promising FinTech companies in Europe.
