Sales analytics SaaS Heresy raises €858K from Launchub, Seedcamp,AngelList and London Co-investment Fund

Heresy, the sales analytics SaaS, raised 858.000 EUR, the company announced. The investment was made by AngelList, Seedcamp, London Co-Investment Fund, and Sofia-based LAUNCHub Ventures. As announced, it will help the team to further develop its product at the European Market.

Founded in London in 2016, by Dimitar Stanmiroff, the former Managing Director of the U.S career platform Stack Overflow, Heresy is a workflow application, that enables sales professionals to manage their workload, forecast accurately and crush targets every month. Briefly, Heresy is the newest sales tool designed to increase collaboration between sales team members, and help them make better data-driven decisions, collectively and individually, and ultimately close more sales.

“The need for Heresy became obvious during my time as MD for EMEA at Stack Overflow”, Stanmiroff explains. “I was looking for a way to keep our rapidly growing sales team aligned and to ensure team members were collaborating, and learning from each others’ mistakes and successes. This is very common for software development, but rarely seen in sales. I had been experimenting with the idea of applying Agile software development tools and best practices in Sales for a few years. In 2013 we built an internal tool based on that methodology. This is how Stack Overflow scaled its global sales team from about 20 reps at the time to 120+ people and how we developed the idea for Heresy.”

As reported by Tech Crunch, the broader mission of this start-up is to increase collaboration between sales team members and break out of the old way of doing sales where sales people effectively worked in a silo and are discouraged from supporting or learning from one another.

The Seedcamp partner, Carlos Espinal, who is one of the investors, says their company is passionate to work close with the experienced founder as Dimitar, with proven track record in the market:

“We are passionate about backing experienced founders working on problems they’ve encountered first-hand and that’s most certainly the case with Dimitar and Heresy. Dimitar’s capabilities, both as a founder and an operator, are more than proven and we are excited to see Heresy address a stale market in desperate need of innovation.”

Heresy is currently in private beta testing phase. In this phase, a startup requires an invite to use their product.
