The 2016 Shift Hackhaton in Split Will Award up to $150.000

The fifth edition of the well-known Shift Hackhaton will take place in Split at the beginning of June 2016. The announcement for this year’s event was made during a conference held on April 25. According to the organizers and main partners, the 2016 Shift Hackhaton in Split will be worth a total of $150.000, as reported by Netokracija.

Shift Hackhaton is a 24-hour long coding competition and an essential part of the Shift Developer Conference. Code lovers will be given a chance to create a themed application and win one of the many awards offered by participating companies. Cash prizes range from $1000 up to $120.000. The organizer of the event, Ivan Burazin from Codeanywhere, announced the cash and awards fund for the upcoming edition will amount to $150.000. He also informed about a novelty that will be introduced during the event: the launch of the Five Labs office space. Participating teams will be offered special Design Sprint workshops where they will access the knowledge and expertise of a pool of professionals working at the agency Five.

The event will start with the opening of the Shift Hackhaton on May 31 and which will end on June 1, whereas the Shift Developer Conference will begin on June 2 and will last until June 3.
