Romanian MVP Angels starts investing up to 50.000 EUR

HowToWeb announced the launch of MVP Angels, a micro-financing business angel network investing an average amount of 50.000 EUR in some of the best alumni of the MVP Academy. The principal advisors of this business angels network are: Bogdan Iordache, Daniel Dragomir and George Diță, whereas the investment money will be provided by a number of regional business angels – experienced investors and professionals in the IT sector – including  Philipp Kandal (Telenav), Bogdan Ripa (Interakt/Adobe, Vector Watch), Mălin Iulian Ștefănescu (angel investor) and Lucian Todea (Soft32).

MVP Angels is looking to invest in companies that have a clear development plan for the next 6 to 12 months, among the other terms listed in the press release. Apart from “smart money”, the Academy will also invest a lot of time and effort to work closely with the teams and help them grow. In exchange, the syndication network will get a minor stake in the company.

The first investment is already going to Inner Trends, a startup founded by Claudiu Murariu, Iuliana Murariu and Alex Stoia, which graduated in the MVP Academy Class of 2015. The next investees will be selected from the 2016 batch of MVP Academy, which will take place at TechHub Bucharest between April 11th and March 31st.

Applications for the program will soon be opened on the program official website.
